At Datech, we have a full range of benefits such as Medical, Vision, Dental, a Cafeteria Plan, Group Life/AD&D, Voluntary Life/AD&D, as well as Long and Short Term Disability. There is a minimal waiting period, which means you and your family are eligible for the above benefits on the first of the month following thirty (30) days of employment.
Medical Insurance
Currently GHI the provider of Datech's health care program. GHI is a popular Preferred Provider Organization (PPO) and lets members choose their own providers from a network of quality doctors and hospitals known as the PPO Network. When members use a PPO Network doctor or hospital, there is very little to pay out-of-pocket.
Cafeteria Plan
The Cafeteria Plan allows you to reap cost saving benefits by paying your medical, vision and dental insurance premiums with pre-tax dollars. What this means is your employee contributions will be deducted from each paycheck before federal and social security taxes are withheld, ultimately resulting in a lower taxable income and fewer taxes to pay.
Group Life/AD&D Insurance
This employee paid program is administered by UnumProvident Life Insurance Company of America, and is in addition to the company paid Life/AD&D Insurance available to eligible employees. The Life portion will pay your coverage amount to your named beneficiary if you die from any cause while insured. The Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) portion will pay your coverage amount if, while insured, you suffer a bodily injury in an accident and you lose your life as a direct result of the injury. The plans will also pay a partial insurance benefit if, while insured, you suffer bodily injury in an accident and lose a limb(s) as a direct result of the injury.
Voluntary Life/AD&D Insurance
This company paid program is administered by UNUM Life Insurance Company of America and pays $50,000 to your named beneficiary if you die from any cause while insured. The Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) portion will pay an insurance benefit of $50,000 if, while insured, you suffer a bodily injury in an accident and you lose your life as a direct result of the injury. The plans will also pay a partial insurance benefit if, while insured, you suffer bodily injury in an accident and lose a limb(s) as a direct result of the injury.
Employee Assistance Plan (EAP)
LifeBalance provides you with information on a wide range of topics including legal and financial issues, older adult and parenting resources, personal and work-related problems, and all the little things that demand your attention each and every day. You will have access to consultants via the Internet and/or telephone 24 hours a day that will work with you to address your individual needs. These trained counselors will offer fast and convenient answers and advice on a wide range of topics.
529 College Savings Plan
Provided by Putnam Investments (www.putnaminvestments.com/corporate529/) the College Advantage Program offers a convenient, automatic, tax-advantaged way to save money for college. This program offers several key benefits for investors including flexibility, tax benefits, and control over withdrawals. Your contributions accumulate federal income tax free and withdrawals used to pay for qualified higher education expenses are free from federal income tax as well. The plan let's you contribute up to a set dollar amount per qualified beneficiary. This beneficiary can be a child, a relative, or anyone who plans to attend a post-secondary educational institution.
401(k) Savings Plan
As Datech employee, you may enroll in a 401(k) plan at any time and there is no minimum age requirement in order to be eligible for participation. Employees may defer from 1% to 75% of their compensation, subject to a dollar maximum set by the IRS, into this tax deferred retirement plan through pre-tax payroll deductions. The Company offers a discretionary funds matching policy whereby
Datech Solutions will determine the amount of the employer-paid matching contribution at the end of each calendar year, based on the Company reaching revenue and profit objectives. The match, if achieved, will be communicated to all eligible 401(k) participants who are employees on the last day of the Plan Year. Although employees are always fully vested in their own contributions as well as any earnings on their contributions, there is a five-year vesting period (20% each year from date of hire), in order to receive the full amount of any applicable matching.
